Title: Nutritional Supplement Products for Tinnitus Treatment

There are numerous over-the-counter nutritional supplement products for tinnitus treatment.  These products include:

T-Gone
Arches Tinnitus Relief Formula
RingStop
Clear Tinnitus
TinnaRex
TinnitusDX
HearingMedz Tinnitus Formula
Bio Ear Natural formula for Tinnitus
Tinnutab
Lipoflavonoid (see previous post).

In fact, this list doesn't even cover all of the tinnitus products out there.   This really shows you how much of a need that exists to help people with their tinnitus.  Sadly, these products often have poor results as reported on the different tinnitus forums.  Many people freely call these products "snake oil" supplements.

When you look at the ingredients in many of the products, you will usually find familiar compounds such as vitamin C, the B vitamins, and ginkgo.  Some products have herbs that are not frequently used.  In all cases, these products have not been reviewed by the FDA for effectiveness and safety.  That is because nutritional supplements do not have to be reviewed by the FDA before they are marketed.  So, buyer beware with such nutritional supplements.

The people on the tinnitus boards who have tried these products would tend to suggest skipping these products and spend your money elsewhere (unless of course you have lots of extra money).  If you do take a nutritional supplement product for tinnitus, I would highly recommend that you let your doctor know about it.  They may want to check your liver and kidney function to make sure the supplements are not damaging these organs as well as look out for potential drug interactions.

I haven't tried any of the aforementioned products except for Lipo-flavonoid, but I know that many tinnitus sufferers have.  Your experience and comments relating to any of them would be valuable.

When I first got tinnitus 7 years ago I tried T-Gone for a few months & did not have any results. They divide tinnitus into 7 or 8 categories so they can sell you one milk powder for 6 months & then since you won't be better they will tell you, oh, you need formula number 4 & after 6 months when that does not help they will say, oh, you need formula number 2 & so on & so on until you realize you been had & they have all your money.
